The Premier League Hall of Fame was launched in 2021 to recognize players and managers with exceptional records and significant contributions to the Premier League since 1992. So far, 24 players and two managers, Sir Alex Ferguson and Arsène Wenger, have been inducted.

1. Patrice Evra: Evra is a highly accomplished professional footballer known for his exceptional defensive skills and leadership qualities. He is best recognized for his time at Manchester United, where he enjoyed tremendous success. During his tenure with the club, Evra became a five-time Premier League champion, playing a crucial role in Manchester United’s dominance in English football. His consistency, pace, and ability to support both defense and attack made him one of the best left-backs of his generation.

2. Cesc Fabregas:  Fàbregas is a professional Spanish footballer known for his exceptional playmaking abilities, vision, and passing accuracy. Born on May 4, 1987, in Arenys de Mar, Spain, he began his football career at a young age, joining the youth academy of FC Barcelona before moving to Arsenal’s academy in England. Rising through the ranks, Fàbregas became renowned for his creativity and leadership on the field. Over his career, he has played for several top clubs, including Arsenal, Barcelona, Chelsea, and AS Monaco, achieving numerous domestic and international titles.

3. Eden Hazard:  Is a highly skilled professional footballer known for his exceptional dribbling, creativity, and ability to change the course of a match. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated remarkable technical ability, speed, and vision on the field. Hazard has played for top European clubs such as Lille OSC, Chelsea FC, and Real Madrid, where he has won numerous titles including league championships, domestic cups, and European tournaments.

Additionally, he has been a key player for the Belgian national team, earning widespread recognition and multiple individual awards for his performances. His talent and achievements have established him as one of the most influential and admired footballers of his generation.

4. Les Ferdinand: A former Newcastle United star, Les Ferdinand is widely regarded as one of the club’s greatest strikers. During his time at Newcastle, he was known for his remarkable goal-scoring ability, physical presence, and leadership on the pitch. Ferdinand played a pivotal role in Newcastle’s success in the 1990s, helping to elevate the team to title contenders in the Premier League era. Beyond his club achievements, he also earned recognition at the international level, representing England with distinction. After retiring from professional football, Ferdinand has remained involved in the sport through coaching, punditry, and football development initiatives.

5. Robbie Fowler: Liverpool Legend Robbie Fowler is widely regarded as one of Liverpool Football Club’s greatest legends. Known for his incredible goal-scoring ability, he earned the nickname “God” from the Liverpool faithful due to his natural talent and consistent performances in front of goal. Fowler made his debut for Liverpool in the early 1990s and quickly established himself as a key player for the team.

6.  Gary Neville: Manchester United great and legendary right-back, known for his unwavering loyalty, leadership qualities, and pivotal role in the club’s numerous domestic and international successes during the 1990s and 2000s. Throughout his illustrious career, Neville was renowned for his defensive solidity, tactical intelligence, and ability to contribute to attacking plays. Beyond his playing days, he has made significant contributions to football as a respected pundit, coach, and ambassador for the game.

7. Michael Owen: Accomplished striker known for his exceptional speed, clinical finishing, and intelligent movement off the ball. Rising to prominence at a young age, Owen quickly established himself as one of the premier forwards in world football. Throughout his career, he demonstrated remarkable goal-scoring ability, earning numerous individual awards and helping his teams secure important victories. His contributions at both club and international level have solidified his reputation as a prolific and influential player in the sport.

8. Teddy Sheringham: With 417 Premier League appearances, Teddy Sheringham is widely regarded as one of the most experienced and consistent players in the history of the league. Over the course of his career, he showcased exceptional skill, versatility, and goal-scoring ability, representing several top clubs such as Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester United, and West Ham United. His longevity and high-level performances made him a key figure in English football throughout the 1990s and early 2000s.

9. David Silva: Is a highly talented midfielder known for his exceptional vision, technical skills, and creativity on the field. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated remarkable passing ability, precise ball control, and the intelligence to dictate the tempo of the game. Silva’s versatility allows him to both create scoring opportunities for his teammates and contribute goals himself. His calm composure under pressure and consistent performances have made him a key player for both his club and national team. Widely regarded as one of the best midfielders of his generation, David Silva’s influence extends beyond statistics, inspiring fans and fellow players alike with his dedication and sportsmanship.

10. Yaya Toure:  Touré is widely regarded as one of the greatest footballers to come from Ivory Coast and is celebrated as a true icon in African football history. Born on May 13, 1983, in Bouaké, Ivory Coast, Touré rose from humble beginnings to become a global superstar known for his incredible skill, versatility, and leadership on the pitch.

Touré’s career highlights include his time at top European clubs such as FC Barcelona and Manchester City, where he won numerous domestic league titles, cups, and individual awards. His powerful presence in midfield, combined with his technical ability and tactical intelligence, made him an indispensable player for both club and country.
11. Sol Campbell: The Arsenal Experienced defender known for his robust tackling, aerial ability, and leadership qualities. Throughout his career, he has consistently demonstrated strong defensive skills, composure under pressure, and versatility in both central defense and right-back positions. Campbell has played at the highest levels of club and international football, contributing significantly to his teams with his tactical awareness and physical presence on the field.

12. Michael Carrick: is a former professional footballer who played as a midfielder for Manchester United. He was known for his exceptional passing ability, vision on the field, and composure in controlling the tempo of the game. Carrick joined Manchester United in 2006 and became a key player for the team over several seasons.

 

13. Jermain Defoe: is a prolific goal-scorer known for his exceptional ability to find the back of the net consistently throughout his football career. Renowned for his clinical finishing, sharp instinct in the penalty area, and intelligent movement off the ball, Defoe has established himself as one of the most reliable strikers in the game.

His goal-scoring prowess has been showcased at various clubs and on the international stage, where he has impressed fans and analysts alike with his technical skill and composure under pressure. Over the years, Defoe’s talent and dedication have earned him a reputation as a deadly forward capable of changing the course of matches with his goals.

14. Edwin Van Der Sar:  is a retired professional footballer who is widely regarded as one of the greatest goalkeepers of his generation. He played for Manchester United, one of the most famous football clubs in the world, where he served as the team’s first-choice goalkeeper for several successful seasons.

During his time at Manchester United, Van Der Sar was known for his excellent shot-stopping abilities, composure under pressure, and leadership on the field. He helped the club win numerous trophies, including the English Premier League titles and the UEFA Champions League, solidifying his legacy as a legendary figure in the sport.

15. Nemanja Vidic: is a former professional footballer who played as a central defender. He is best known for his time at Manchester United, where he established himself as one of the top defenders in the Premier League and the world. Vidić joined Manchester United in 2006 and quickly became a key figure in the team’s defense, known for his strength, leadership, and tough tackling.

To be eligible, players must have retired by January 1, 2025, and only their Premier League career is considered. The selection involves a combination of fan votes and votes from existing Hall of Fame members. Voting closes on September 15, 2025, and the two inductees will be announced on November 4, 2025.
