Malta Government Endeavor Scholarship Details:

The Malta Government ENDEAVOUR Scholarships Scheme is intended to support good quality tertiary education at MQF level 7 and MQF level 8 to ensure that the Maltese labour market is supplied with the right individuals and to guarantee that it is in a better position to compete at an international level.

The scheme is aimed at supporting those pursuing this path to succeed both at the level of educational attainment as well as contributing effectively towards the economy.

The key objectives of the ENDEAVOUR II Scholarships Scheme are to:

  • assist people to pursue further levels of academic research.
  • reduce skills mismatches particularly within the priority economic sectors.
  • support further research in science and technology; and
  • increase the capacity and level of research, innovation, and development activity in Malta.

Financial Support:

  • General Courses:

    • €86.85 every 4 weeks (from October to June)

    • €465.87 annually for educational materials

    • One-time grant of €465.87 in the first year

  • Prescribed Courses:

    • €151.99 every 4 weeks

    • €698.81 annually for educational materials

    • One-time grant of €98.81 in the first year

Eligibility Requirements for Malta Government Scholarship 2025/26

To be considered for the Malta Government Scholarship, you must:

  • Be a Maltese or an international student
  • Be seeking to pursue Master’s or PhD studies (MFQ7 or MFQ8)
  • Note: If you already hold a Master’s degree, then you are eligible to apply for the PhD, but not for another Master’s or lower-level postgraduate certificate or diploma. Applicants who are already enrolled in a PhD degree program or at the same level as a PhD are not eligible to apply for this scholarship.
